That's a wrap on the Cape 31 UK National Championship 2026. After nine races over three days, Khumbu Racing sailed away with the national title in dominant fashion, while the battle for the rest of the podium went down to the final race of the regatta.

A Dominant Title Run

Khumbu Racing put together a commanding performance to take the National Championship, finishing on just 9 nett points — comfortably clear of the rest of the fleet after nine races.

Podium Battle Goes to the Wire

Behind Khumbu, the fight for second and third place ran all the way to the final race of the final day. Bullit and Katabatic finished tied on points, with Bullit taking second overall on countback and Katabatic completing the podium in third.

While Khumbu dominated at the front, the racing throughout the rest of the fleet was incredibly close all weekend.

Conditions

Three days of sunshine and 15–20+ knot breeze gave the fleet some of the best sailing conditions of the season, making for a brilliant Nationals.
