Description
The Sun Fast 3300, built by Jeanneau, is a Verdier/Andrieu designed rocket ship full of advanced and unique features. Verdier has designed some of the world’s fastest Mini 650’s, Class 40’s, and IMOCA 60’s, while Andrieu has a string of successful IRC & IOR race boats to his name. Together, they have created a blisteringly fast, competitive IRC short-handed racer/cruiser with an enviable race record. Give the 3300 some wind, and she’s off like a scolded cat!
“BUG” has a very special spec with many custom features and is ready to hit the race track with a high modulus carbon rig, custom water ballast system, North 3Di RAW Sails, B&G H5000 electronics, and much more. A very special boat at an equally special price!
“BUG” has been dry sailed from new and is ready to go for a 2025 Fastnet Campaign.

Upgrades & Modifications
2024 Endorsed IRC rating is 1.032 with water ballast, 3 jibs, and 4 spinnakers. There is an opportunity to optimize this significantly downwards with a Secondary Rating without water ballast, 2 jibs, and 3 spinnakers for those who enjoy playing Rating Games.
STIX Stability No is 38, which easily gets the boat Category A and OSR Cat 1 capabilities.
Spars & Rigging
Axxon H40 Very High Modulus custom Carbon mast – deck stepped, twin adjustable spreaders. This mast is lighter and more adjustable than the standard 3300 carbon mast.
Rod rigging in lieu of wire
Axxon carbon boom
Custom carbon bowsprit made by Andy Barker in Cowes + running rigging for asymmetric & Code sails
Textile adjustable backstays with fine tune & return to primary winches
Runner blocks have protective pads and can be held forward in light airs.
All the running rigging is high-tech dyneema from Kingfisher Ropes custom made for this boat and using Tylaska shackles.
